How I lost my Kidney Stones.

If you have ever suffered from renal colic (the passing of small kidney stones) then I do not have to tell you how painful it can be. The first time that it happened to me, as I rolled around screaming, the doctor preparing to inject me with pethidine, consoled me with the news that I was unlikely to experience anything in life that was more painful. A lady of my acquaintance who was the mother of three and who had also experienced renal colic said the passing of stones was far more painful than childbirth. It is over twenty years ago since my first attack and over the years the torture returned at irregular intervals but at least once a year.
I went through various dietary changes. Initially it was recommended (mistakenly) that I reduce my calcium intake. From later research it is now known that that one should actually increase the calcium intake. I learnt that Chocolate, Beetroot, Spinach, Rhubarb, Peanuts and Strawberries should be avoided, unless, as my consultant joked, you take your strawberries with lots of cream.
I am no medical practitioner and there is no substitute for sound medical advice, so what follows is based on my personal experience.
About 2001 I started down a path that has finally rid me of kidney stones. To be fair it was a combination therapy and the most significant part of that therapy I came upon by accident. By a strange coincidence I got introduced to magnotherapy. (The Story)
Amongst the range of magnetic product, not all for magnotherapy, was one for fastening to the water mains to reduce the furring up of pipes, kettles etc, in hard water areas. I live in a very hard water area so I installed one. Within 3 months of installing it and without any additional action by me to clean it, my kettle was virtually fur free. I have recently had a new bathroom installed and my plumber was very surprised to find that the old piping was totally free of lime-scale.
It dawned on me that the build up of hard calcium lime-scale on pipes and in kettles etc might be just what was happening in my kidneys and perhaps the magnets could help me get rid of my kidney stones. After all the most common kidney stones are crystals of calcium oxalate and can be anything from the size of a grain of sand up to the size of a grapefruit.
I began my campaign. When you wear the magnetic product you are supposed to drink lots of water. When you have kidney problems you are supposed to drink lots of water. So I continued to drink lots of water, 2 to 3 litres a day but only magnetically treated water, along with cranberry juice which is also supposed to be good for the waterworks and of course magnetically treated cranberry juice. There were additional magnetic products in the range that by using belts and straps with adjustable magnets, allowed you to position magnets on specific places on the body. When I had any sort of kidney pain I would place magnets as near the kidneys as I could plus extra magnets on my wrists and it would dramatically kill the pain in about 15 minutes. On each visit to my renal consultant X-rays showed that the stones were gradually disappearing. On my last visit the stones had all gone. I told the consultant what I had been doing as I thought it might interest him and asked where I should go from here. He said “I should keep doing what you have been doing. It looks as though it has worked for you and logically it does make some sense.”
This product should not be worn by anyone wearing a Pacemaker or other medical implant that could be affected by a strong magnetic field. If in doubt ask you doctor.
